MSC Cruises is opening a new, fully staffed office in Mississauga, Canada on May 1.
MSC said the office is a further testament to its “commitment to growth in North America.” It will be led by Ian Patterson, the line’s newly appointed Country Manager for Canada, and will include 15 full-time employees.
“The Canadian market is a distinct market with its own requirements and the opening of our new office will allow us to better serve the Canadian traveller,” Patterson said in a statement announcing the news.
Once the office opens, travel advisors will be able to make MSC bookings in Canadian dollars and will be able to access the line’s travel advisor portal through a new dedicated Canadian website. The website will debut in English, but French versions will be added before the end of 2019.
Aside from the French websites, MSC will also be adding a number of new offerings for its French-Canadian advisors including bilingual call centre, groups and sales support, and bilingual marketing materials.
