UATP to Offer WEX Virtual Cards to its Network
UATP, the airline-owned payment network, and WEX, a provider of corporate payment solutions, will offer the WEX Virtual Credit Card Solution to the entire UATP Network. Delta Air Lines will be the launch UATP Issuer, using the WEX VCC solution for expanded card acceptance for hotel and car rental purchases.
This relationship with WEX will allow UATP corporate account holders to pay for hotel and rental cars through the VCC solution. Corporate travelers will be given a single-use virtual credit card number that can be used in any of the 11 currencies that WEX settles. Corporate travelers will receive one consolidated travel statement for all of their air, hotel and rental car bookings.
