The 30-year industry veteran has held multiple sales positions with travel industry leaders.
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection Tuesday announced that 30-year industry veteran Kristian Anderson, the line’s former senior vice president of sales, will be promoted to executive vice president of global sales, effective immediately.
Anderson joined Uniworld in 2016 after spending almost four years as senior vice president and general manager of the Americas with Silversea Cruises. Before Silversea, Anderson worked as head of sales and country manager for Qatar Airways and the director of national sales for Aeromexico Airlines.
He has also served as the chairman of CLIA’s Trade Relations Committee since 2018.
“I’m thrilled to step into my expanded role,” said Anderson. “I look forward to continuing to work with our valued travel advisor partners to help sell our brands. We couldn’t do it without them.”
According to Uniworld CEO Ellen Bettridge, the move will help Uniworld and U River Cruises be more efficient moving into 2020.
“Since joining the company, Kristian has been instrumental in the evolution of our sales strategy, enhancing our trade partnerships, improving organizational strength, and delivering record results,” said Bettridge.
