Cruise Planners Launches Enhanced CRM Tool

by Richard D’Ambrosio  February 08, 2018

At a time when consumers are demanding more personalized services from travel agents, and custom trips are setting live agents apart from their online competitors, Cruise Planners is launching its next version of its CP Maxx customer relationship management (CRM) software.

A global search function allows agents to search by keywords, suppliers, programs, confirmation numbers, dates and more, making workflows more efficient.

Meanwhile, a new feature called “Buckets” allows agents to save research on say a customer, destination, or itinerary, etc. for easy reference at a later date, similar to the way someone might save something to a Pinterest board. The saved items can be shared with a client during the planning process, Cruise Planners said.

CP Maxx also features two voice-activated Alexa skills, including one for Cruise Planners agents and the other for their customers. For example, travelers can ask Alexa about details of their upcoming trips, cruise line information, ships, when their final payment is due, and more.

“Just as our franchise owners rely on technology to run their business, we know that technology is essential to how their clients book travel and if we can think of it, our IT team can build it,” said Michelle Fee, CEO and Founder of Cruise Planners. “We want to be the high-tech solution, so our Cruise Planners agents can be the high-touch ingredient to better serve their customers.”

Designed and developed with feedback from the Cruise Planners Agent Technology Advisory Board, CP Maxx, performs up to eight times faster compared to Cruise Planners’ prior platform, the company said in a press statement.
