Crystal is raising the luxury bar aboard Crystal Serenity, announcing plans to introduce a new Owner’s Suite and four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites following the ship’s scheduled dry dock in 2028.

The five new accommodations, all located on Deck 11, will expand the ship’s premium suite collection, offering guests more space, privacy and contemporary design.

The enhancements build on the introduction of the Owner’s Suite aboard Crystal Grace, which will debut during that ship’s inaugural season.

“We are continuing to thoughtfully evolve Crystal Serenity while preserving the character and sense of ease that have made her so beloved by our guests,” said Bernie Leypold, senior vice president of hotel operations for Crystal, in a press release.

“These new suites allow us to introduce fresh design elements and greater choice while creating an accommodation collection that feels cohesive, contemporary and distinctly Crystal.”

A new Owner’s Suite

The centrepiece of the expansion will be a 1,722-square-foot Crystal Owner’s Suite, located midship and featuring a 428-square-foot private veranda.

Designed by naval architect and naval design historian Paolo Piccione, the two-bedroom accommodation will offer a residential-style retreat with wooden floors, custom wool carpets, handcrafted cabinetry and fine fabrics.

The suite’s living room will feature a library and fireplace, while a separate dining area will offer panoramic ocean views, a Butler pantry and personalized bar service.

Technology will also play a prominent role, with a state-of-the-art Hi-Fi entertainment system extending throughout the interior and exterior spaces. Dual LES touch panels in the living room and bedroom will allow guests to control music across multiple zones or select curated playlists.

The master bedroom will feature a king-size bed and two large walk-in closets, while the marble-lined master bathroom will include a Jacuzzi.

A second bedroom, complete with its own walk-in closet and separate bathroom, will provide additional accommodation for families or guests travelling together.

Wellness amenities will include Technogym equipment with personalized Technogym Coach programming and integrated entertainment, positioned to take advantage of ocean views.

Junior Penthouse Premium Suites

Crystal will also introduce four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites, each offering 861 square feet of interior space and a 205-square-foot veranda.

Inspired by layouts aboard Crystal Symphony, the midship suites will complement Crystal Serenity’s six existing Junior Penthouse Deluxe Suites, further expanding the range of premium accommodations available to guests.

The new suites will be available on sailings beginning May 5, 2028, following the ship’s dry dock.
