Disney Cruise Line has revealed new details about its next ship, Disney Believe, scheduled to begin sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on December 18, 2027.

The ship will offer four- and five-night cruises to the Caribbean and The Bahamas, with itineraries including visits to one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s private island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Disney Believe will be the fourth ship in the Wish class, joining Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. It is part of a broader fleet expansion that will see Disney Cruise Line grow to 13 ships by late 2030.

The new vessel will feature entertainment and design elements inspired by Disney films including Moana, Encanto, Frozen and Zootopia, along with several returning attractions from other ships in the fleet.

The First Stage Adaptation of Disney Encanto

Among the headline additions is Disney Encanto, the first stage adaptation of the animated film, which will debut exclusively aboard Disney Believe.

The production will follow Mirabel and the Madrigal family, incorporating Colombian cultural influences, traditional dance styles and songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.”

The ship will also feature a revised version of ‘Tangled: The Musical,’ previously presented aboard Disney Magic, with updated sets and special effects. Disney Seas the Adventure, a production featuring Disney and Pixar characters, will complete the ship’s main theatre lineup.

Another new venue, Gazelle, will draw inspiration from the Zootopia films. During the day, it will host family activities, games, trivia and character encounters. In the evening, the space will offer adult-focused entertainment, including silent discos and variety performances.

Disney Believe will also introduce a family show featuring Zootopia characters Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, inviting guests to participate in solving a mystery.

Pacific Pleasures in the Moana-Inspired Grand Hall

The ship’s central Grand Hall will take its design cues from Moana, incorporating elements inspired by the Pacific Islands and the ocean.

A statue of Moana with characters Pua and Heihei will be a focal point, while the space will feature ocean-coloured carpeting, bioluminescent design accents and a chandelier inspired by the movement of water.

Disney has also announced a new family dining venue that will expand on the world of Frozen, with further details TBA.

Several established Disney Cruise Line attractions will also be available aboard Disney Believe.

These include Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, featuring live music and fireworks at sea; Hero Zone, an indoor sports and family activity venue; and Disney Uncharted Adventure, an interactive experience that uses guests’ mobile devices to complete challenges around the ship.

The ship will also feature Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas, offering complimentary screenings of films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm.
