Many Canadians are looking for ways to maximize vacation value without compromising on experience. MSC Cruises is making a case that its luxury “ship-within-a-ship” Yacht Club product offers a comparable experience to a 5-star all-inclusive resort at a significantly lower cost.

The cruise line says its premium offering, available on select vessels, can be a compelling alternative to traditional luxury resort stays in destinations like the Caribbean and Bahamas, particularly for those seeking convenience, variety, and overall value.

Cost comparison (per night for two):

  • 5-star Bahamas all-inclusive resort: ~ CAD $1,400
  • MSC Yacht Club: ~ CAD $900*

What’s included in the MSC Yacht Club:

  • Premium accommodations with private in-suite amenities.
  • Premium beverage package included across the ship.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi.
  • Exclusive access to private lounge and dedicated restaurant.
  • 24-hour butler and concierge service.
  • Priority embarkation, disembarkation, and tender services.
  • Priority access and reserved seating for entertainment venues.
  • Private sun deck with pools and whirlpools.
  • Exclusive access to a private beach and areas at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises’ private island in the Bahamas.
  • Option to book personalized, curated shore excursions through the Yacht Club concierge.

MSC contends that as Canadians continue to prioritize convenience, simplicity, and value-driven travel experiences, cruising is emerging as a strong option.

“Beyond value, cruising also delivers a more seamless way to travel to discover multiple destinations in one trip. Once onboard, guests wake up in a new port each day – from the Caribbean to Europe and beyond – while enjoying a wide range of onboard benefits, including diverse dining options, entertainment, and activities for all age groups,” MSC Cruises said in a press release.
