MSC Cruises is bringing another taste of Italy to the high seas, announcing that its newest flagship, MSC World Asia, will feature an Eataly restaurant when the ship begins sailing the Mediterranean on December 4, 2026.
The addition marks the second Eataly restaurant at sea for MSC Cruises, following the concept’s debut aboard MSC World America. MSC remains the only cruise line to offer the internationally recognized Italian dining brand onboard.
The partnership is part of the cruise line’s broader strategy to expand its culinary offerings through collaborations with established hospitality brands and award-winning culinary partners.
When MSC World Asia makes its debut, guests will have access to more than 40 bars, lounges, cafés and restaurants, offering a wide range of international dining experiences.
“Exceptional food and hospitality are at the heart of the experience we create for our guests. Partnering with Eataly allows us to bring a renowned culinary brand to sea, offering guests an authentic dining experience that showcases the quality, tradition and passion that define Italian cuisine. Following the successful debut of Eataly onboard MSC World America, we look forward to bringing our guests in the Mediterranean a unique dining experience with an artfully created menu reflecting the global nature of MSC Cruises,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, in a press release.
A Taste Of Italy At Sea
The Eataly restaurant aboard MSC World Asia will combine contemporary design with traditional Italian hospitality, featuring a menu of regional specialties and classic dishes prepared with premium ingredients.
Interactive culinary experiences will be a key part of the offering, including live cooking demonstrations and a dedicated table chef who will give diners an up-close look at Italian cooking techniques.
Guests will also have the option of dining outdoors on the restaurant’s terrace, which will offer ocean views.
For wine enthusiasts, the experience will extend beyond the dining room, with personalized visits to the wine cellar at The Terraces Bar, where guests can select their preferred bottle to accompany their meal.
The restaurant will build on the culinary concept introduced aboard MSC World America, bringing Eataly’s signature approach to Italian food and hospitality to the European cruise market.
Seven-Night Mediterranean Sailings
Beginning December 4, 2026, MSC World Asia will operate seven-night Mediterranean itineraries visiting several popular European destinations.
Ports of call will include Barcelona, Spain; Marseille, France; Messina, Civitavecchia (the gateway to Rome) and Naples, Italy; and Valletta, Malta.
The itineraries will offer multiple embarkation ports, providing travellers with additional flexibility when planning their Mediterranean cruise vacations.
