Out Adventures Unveils Six New LGBTQ+ Tours for 2028, From Baja California to Mont Blanc
by Bruce Parkinson
Toronto-based LGBTQ+ tour operator Out Adventures has unveiled six new tours for 2028, with experiences ranging from an expedition cruise through Baja California to a three-country trek around France’s Mont Blanc.
The six new itineraries are:
- Baja California: Gay Cruise & Expedition
- Sri Lanka: Isle of Serendipity
- Sicily: Palermo to Taormina
- Ireland: Dublin & the Kerry Way
- France: Mont Blanc Adventure
- France: Provence & the French Riviera
All are now open for booking, along with four returning favourites in China and Tibet, the Scottish Highlands, Georgia and the Baltics. The operator will release its remaining 52 departures for 2028 in late November.
Out Adventures says the new collection was designed around destinations where travellers can spend more time exploring a region rather than simply passing through it. The company adds that several itineraries take Out Adventures guests where no other LGBTQ+ tour operator currently offers a comparable group experience.

“Our guests are experienced travellers. They’re looking for places they haven’t been and experiences they can’t simply find on every itinerary,” said Robert Sharp, co-founder and CEO.
“For 2028, we wanted to go deeper, whether that means hiking across three countries around Mont Blanc, exploring villages in Provence that most tours pass over or getting off the ship twice a day in Baja. These are trips designed for travellers who want to really experience a destination.”
Among the new offerings is Baja California: Gay Cruise & Expedition, Out Adventures’ largest expedition cruise to date. Up to 85 guests will sail aboard the National Geographic Venture through the Gulf of California, with most days featuring both morning and afternoon excursions.
The itinerary includes gray whale encounters, snorkeling at Isla Espíritu Santo, kayaking through Bahía Concepción and exploring Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park. It is also the company’s first charter to pair expedition programming with nightly entertainment from both a drag performer and a DJ.
For travellers who prefer exploring on foot, the new France: Mont Blanc Adventure follows the famed Tour du Mont Blanc across France, Italy and Switzerland. Unlike many Mont Blanc hiking itineraries that rely on camping, Out Adventures’ guests will stay in hotels along the route, with luggage transferred between accommodations so hikers need only carry a daypack.

In southern France, Provence & the French Riviera weaves LGBTQ+ history into a deep dive through the region, from tracing James Baldwin’s footsteps in Saint-Paul-de-Vence to exploring the Riviera’s gay literary history in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The itinerary also includes Picasso’s former studio in Antibes, villages throughout the Luberon, a private wine tasting and a visit to the Palais des Papes in Avignon.
The 2028 additions also include a coast-to-coast exploration of Sicily, with two nights in Noto; a guided trek along Ireland’s Kerry Way; and the return of Sri Lanka for the first time since 2019 after the destination ranked near the top of a guest survey.
Four Favourites Return for 2028
Alongside the six new itineraries, Out Adventures is bringing back four trips guests love for 2028:
- China: Highlights & Tibet
- Scotland: Highlands Gay Cruise
- Georgia: Crossroads of Empires
- The Baltics: Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia
The returning trips include experiences that remain unusual within LGBTQ+ group travel. Out Adventures’ China itinerary includes Tibet, with the company arranging the additional permit required to visit the region, while its Scotland itinerary takes guests by small ship through the Highlands and across Loch Ness. Georgia and the Baltics can be combined into a longer Eastern European journey, with an optional Helsinki extension exploring Tom of Finland’s legacy and Helsinki’s queer history.
The six new tours and four returning trips are available for booking now, with Out Adventures’ remaining 2028 departures scheduled to launch in late November.
