Princess Cruises Launches Biggest Alaska Season Ever

Princess Cruises is gearing up for its biggest Alaska season ever anchored by the debut of its newest ship in the fleet, Star Princess. The expanded program features eight ships, 180 departures and visits to 19 destinations on all eight Princess ships: Star Princess, Coral Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, Discovery Princess, and Island Princess.

“Our North to Alaska program is designed to bring guests closer to the spirit, culture and natural beauty of Alaska in ways only Princess can deliver,” said John-Paul Lamb, Princess Cruises Vice President of Entertainment. “From encounters with local experts and native storytellers to immersive entertainment and scenic glacier viewing, these experiences allow our guests to connect with Alaska along every step of their journey.”

North to Alaska 2026: Key Highlights

Signature Experiences

  • Glacier Experience: A Signature Princess Day – Enhanced glacier viewing with expert narration, Park Ranger programming, and exclusive bow access, plus onboard educational talks and family-friendly ranger activities.
  • “Welcome to Alaska” – Orientation session hosted by the Cruise Director to introduce guests to the destination and onboard enrichment.
  • Après Sea – New après-ski–inspired lounge experience with drinks and panoramic views (featured on Star Princess).
  • Candlelight Concert Series: Fire & Ice – Intimate live performances by Alaskan singer-songwriters (offered twice per voyage).

Culinary Enhancements

  • New Alaska-inspired specialty dining featuring regional seafood such as Wild King Salmon, crab, lobster, and halibut across venues including Crown Grill and Sabatini’s.

Immersive & Cultural Programming

  • Return of popular experiences including Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, Puppies in the Piazza, and Deadliest Catch presentations.
  • Expanded speaker series featuring Indigenous voices, authors, and photographers sharing Alaska’s culture and history.

Onboard Entertainment & Activities

  • Campfire Movies Under the Stars and Stargazing Nights for outdoor evening experiences.
  • Interactive programming such as The Great Big Adventure – Alaska Edition and Officers vs Guests themed challenges.

Family & Youth Programming
