Seatrade Cruise News is reporting the departure of Virgin Voyages VP Sales John Diorio, with a cruise line spokesperson telling the publication that Diorio “made the decision to resign.”

‘John’s departure comes with great appreciation for his contributions, including building and establishing relationships with our travel advisor community and supporting our growth. We wish him well in all of his future endeavours,” the spokesperson told Seatrade.

VP Sales John Diorio has departed Virgin Voyages.

Chief Marketing Officer Nathan Rosenberg is stepping in as acting leader of the Virgin Voyages sales organization.

Diorio joined Virgin Voyages in August 2018 as director of sales, U.S. and western Canada, rising to director of North America sales, then associate VP. In January 2022 he was promoted to VP Sales.

Prior to joining the cruise line, Diorio was regional sales director with The Mark Travel Corp. Earlier roles included president of HotelReservations.com, CEO and co-founder of TicketSizzle.com and VP affiliate marketing of Hotels.com.
