Nobu Hospitality has announced new details of the planned Nobu Beach Inn, Barbuda, which will add a hotel and residences to the existing Nobu restaurant on the island.

Actor Robert De Niro, co-founder of Nobu Hospitality, discovered the property more than 30 years ago and has had plans for the hotel in the works for about 10 years when the site became available.

“Since I first stepped foot on Barbuda, I knew it was special. We wanted to create a place that’s comfortable, where everyone wants to gather and embrace the essence of the island,” De Niro said. “The Nobu Beach Inn is designed to complement its surroundings while maintaining the landscape’s natural beauty.”

The new hotel will be part of The Beach Club, Barbuda, a low-density resort and residential community. The Nobu Barbuda restaurant and lounge has been open there, on the famed Princess Diana Beach, since 2020.

The Nobu Beach Inn will be set on 400 acres and two miles of beachfront on Barbuda’s southwest coast. It will feature 36 bedrooms across 17 individual villas, as well as 25 branded residences.

Amenities will include a beach club, oceanfront pool, indoor and outdoor spa, kids club, outdoor cinema, two tennis courts, two padel courts, a gym pavilion, and a water sports center. In addition to the Nobu restaurant, the property will have an oceanfront grill with a local catch and an omakase sushi bar.

Construction on the site is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, and an opening date has yet to be announced.
