Bannikin Names Gabriella Stowell as New Travel Trade Specialist

Canada-based professional services company Bannikin has announced that Gabriella Stowell has joined the company as its new Travel Trade Specialist, where she will spearhead the relaunch of travel trade development services, a core offering that has long been a part of Bannikin’s DNA.

With more than 20 years in the global travel industry, Stowell brings a wealth of experience in building strategic partnerships, advancing destination development, and fostering strong trade relations across key markets.

Before joining Bannikin, Stowell spent over a decade at the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) where she played a central role in business and destination development, research, education, public speaking, and event management.

She worked closely with destinations, businesses, and global partners to strengthen sustainable tourism practices, deliver training and capacity-building programs, and create international events that connected industry leaders.

“We are delighted to welcome Gabriella to the Bannikin team,” says Trevor Jonas Benson, Managing Partner at Bannikin. “Trade development, together with our media relations offering, has always been at the core of Bannikin’s work, and with Gabriella now on board – well-known and respected within the adventure travel industry – we are now able to properly reintroduce this service stream with fresh energy, a global perspective, and a strong focus on helping our client-partners grow responsibly.”

As Bannikin’s new Travel Trade Specialist, Stowell will work to design, grow, and deliver trade strategies that connect travel companies with the right markets, amplify their stories, and generate long-term value for all involved.

“I’m truly excited to join Bannikin,” says Stowell. “My values around, and commitment to, sustainable and inclusive tourism align perfectly with Bannikin’s worldview that tourism should co-create value through and beyond the industry. I look forward to supporting partners in building connections that are impactful, responsible, and enduring.”

Born in Brazil and a U.S. citizen, Stowell holds a degree in Ecology and an MBA in Business and Marketing. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, she has lived and worked across Latin and North America.

She can be reached via email at gabriella@bannikin.com.
