Goway, the family-owned, tailor-made specialist tour operator, has launched a new Travel Advisory Board as part of the company’s 55-year celebrations.

The new board comprises 10 industry experts from the U.S. and Canada, with a mix of leading travel advisors and consortia heads. Board members include:

  • Dana Empey (BST Vacations)
  • Cathy Evans (Vista Travel)
  • Adolfo Granadillo (Cruise Planners)
  • Jason Hedrick (Ci Azumano Travel)
  • Leila Lavaee (TTAND: Travel Design by Leila)
  • Peg Mellen (Dream Vacations)
  • Suzanne Pitt (Cruise and Tours Unlimited)
  • Sherry Riggs (WorldVia Travel)
  • Terry Vander Linden (AMA)
  • Sandra Wesson (TDC)

The tour operator first unveiled the new board on Aug. 21, as part of Goway Travel’s 21st annual cricket match at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club.

Goway’s inaugural Travel Advisory Board hosted its first meeting last week. That session covered topics related to innovating the travel trade, focusing on practical solutions to reduce barriers that travel advisors face. The board also discussed emerging trends, opportunities within the industry, challenges, and other industry insights.

“At Goway, we believe that listening to our travel advisor partners is essential to the growth of our business and the health of the travel industry as a whole,” said Renee Stanton-Defaria, director of sales for Goway Travel. “Our new Travel Advisory Board embodies our commitment to listening to and working with our partners to shape business strategies and deliver the most impact for our partners and their globetrotting clients.”
