EF Go Ahead Tours has unveiled four new community-first solo and women-only tours, which are all included in its Black Friday sale.
The new itineraries include immersive, regional-specific experiences that celebrate the unique charm and history of the destinations—from tasting Belgian chocolate, waffles, and beer to hearing stories straight from the mouths of Japan’s legendary all-women ama pearl divers.
“Traveling solo doesn’t mean traveling alone,” said Heidi Durflinger, CEO, EF World Journeys USA. “We’ve created new Solo Tours and Tours for Women that bring together curious, like-minded travelers to share unforgettable experiences—from wine and chocolate tastings to nature adventures across some of the world’s most beautiful places. It’s been especially exciting to see the enthusiasm for our women-only trips in France and Japan, where nearly 9 in 10 women told us they love the idea of exploring with other women who share their spirit of adventure.”
The new tours include:
Amsterdam, Bruges & Paris for Solo Travelers: A 10-day tour (12 with the optional Paris extension) that explores the canals, cuisine, and culture of three European capital cities. Journeying from the Netherlands to France in group sizes ranging from 15 to 28, this moderately active guided land tour features handpicked hotels and a curated itinerary created for solo travelers.
Iceland for Solo Travelers: Reykjavik, Golden Circle & South Coast: A six-day solo tour (eight with the West Iceland & Reykjavik extension) in which groups of 14 to 20 travelers trek through the Land of Fire and Ice. This tour is rated as “high” activity level and explores the city of Reykjavik, the Golden Circle, and South Coast.
France for Women: Paris, Loire Valley & Champagne Region: This 11-day tour (14 days with the French Riviera extension) through France was designed for women-only travel, and includes a female tour director as well as curated experiences such as a Women of Paris sightseeing tour, visiting the Joan of Arc statue in Orleans, a perfume-making workshop, and, of couse, a private cellar tour and Champagne tasting. Groups range from 15 to 28 travelers, and the activity rating is “high.”
Japan for Women: Tokyo, Ise-Shima Peninsula & Kyoto: Another tour created for women-only groups, this itinerary covers 11 days (14 days with Hiroshima & Kobe extension) and invites travelers to discover Japan’s shrines, street style, and sisterhood. Highlights include a lunch with the women of the legendary ama pearl divers, a workshop on the art of ramen and tea, a Maiko performance, and a visit to Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial. Groups range from 15 to 28 travelers and the activity rating is “high.”
