Inside Travel Continues U.S. Growth with BDM Appointment

Inside Travel Group has expanded its trade support team in the U.S. with the appointment of Karla Pitts as business development manager.

Inside Travel Group is a tour operator known for its region-focused brands, InsideAsia Tours and InsideJapan Tours. Over the last year, company has been expanding its travel advisor support, unveiling a $25,000 travel advisor incentive last spring and a series of destination-focused webinars for selling Japan, Thailand, and South Korea in June and July.

Pitts brings to the role several years of experience in the travel industry. She first joined Inside Travel in July 2024 as a travel consultant for trade sales, specializing in Japan. As a previous travel advisor herself, having worked under Joyous Occasions Travel and ADTRAV Travel Management, Pitts understands the needs and unique mindset of the trade.

“We are excited to welcome Karla to the team. She brings a strong advisor background as well as experience creating Japan holidays for our clients,” said Gabo Quiros, Global Trade Manager at Inside Travel.

As BDM, Pitts will continue to grow Inside Travel’s relationships with the trade. This includes raising awareness of the company’s trade incentives, such as the $20,000 Dream Vacation contest, which gives advisors who book with the tour operator a chance to win a free trip. She will also help drive awareness of new small group tours and self-guided cultural adventures across Asia.

“I am excited to help grow and empower our travel advisor partners to craft unforgettable cultural adventures throughout our Asia portfolio,” said Pitts.

The appointment is part of Inside Travel’s strategic growth plans for the U.S. trade. The tour operator saw record-breaking growth in 2025, with 40% of its business coming from travel advisors and agencies.
