Native-owned Alaskan Dream Cruises is bringing back its “True Alaskan Family Cruise,” the first time the line has offered the itinerary since 2018.

The six-day cruise will operate over the Fourth of July holiday, going from Juneau to Sitka, and feature such highlights as a an Alaskan-style feast with beach bonfire, scenic cruising in Tracy Arm, and July 4th fireworks.

“When an opportunity presented itself to include this itinerary in our 2023 line-up, we jumped at the chance,” said Alaska Dream Cruises spokesperson Zak Kirkpatrick. “This has all the elements of an amazing family cruise experience – a five-night, six-day duration, July 1st start date when most schools around the country are out, an opportunity to experience 4th of July celebrations in a small coastal town, and most importantly, wildlife, a stunning tidewater glacier, kayaking and more.”

The True Alaskan Family Cruise is geared toward multi-generational groups and families and will feature onboard youth expedition leaders who lead activities, exploration and educational programs about Alaska. Young travelers will receive a custom Adventure Guidebook and all guests will have the chance to brave the frigid Alaska waters and become a member of the “Killer Whale Club.”

For families who book a third or fourth guest in their stateroom, the fare is reduced by 25% for additional travelers. Families who book a second stateroom will receive a 50% discount on the second room (of equal or lesser value).
