American Cruise Lines Reveals Next Two Ocean Ships

American Cruise Lines will add two Project Blue ocean-going ships in 2025, American Patriot and American Pioneer. The 125-passenger ships represent the 5th and 6th ships in the company’s overall plans for 12 new small U.S.-based ships.

American Patriot will begin sailing in June 2025 with American Pioneer following in November 2025. Both ships will operate up and down the East Coast of the United States including on the line’s all-new 15-day Grand Florida Coast & Keys itinerary.

Both ships will feature five decks and 56 staterooms, all with private balcony. Staterooms will comprise standard cabins, suites, and singles. The ships’ fourth deck will offer all-suite accommodations ranging in size from 420 to 620 square feet.

Both will also feature an expansive main lounge and restaurant on deck 1, as well as sitting, dining, and fitness areas, including a 360-degree Skywalk walking track, on the deck 5. Other highlights include an indoor Sky Lounge, outside Sun Deck, a casual café, and more.

The ships will offer a more traditional bow construction, with a slightly deeper draft with full stabilization to enable smoother sailing along the United States’ eastern coastline.

With the inclusion of American Patriot and American Pioneer, American Cruise Lines will operate a fleet of 21 vessels, sailing a large variety of U.S. river and coastal itineraries. All the company’s cruises operate like river cruises, remaining fully in the U.S.A throughout the entire itinerary, and exploring along protected waters in sight of land.
