American Queen Voyages Adds to Sales Team, Realigns Territories

(l-r) Brandon Appel, Janelle Valentino, Darrell Wyatt

American Queen Voyages has appointed Janelle Valentino as its new director of national accounts and added Brandon Appel to its roundup of regional account managers. At the same time, the cruise line is realigning its territories.

“The realignment of our sales team will enhance our ability to bring guests more one-of-a-kind experiences and provide further support to travel advisors,” said Keven Smith, vice president of sales for AQV. “With Janelle Valentino’s promotion and the addition of Brandon Appel, our sales team will be more dynamic, propelling American Queen Voyages further in 2023.”

Valentino previously served as a regional account manager with AQV and will now lead the sales team as director of national accounts, while also representing the Florida region. She has previously worked for Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Royal Caribbean Group.

As part of the territory restructuring, new assignments will include:

Brandon Appel will represent the Northwest region, covering Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

Darrell Wyatt will represent the Midwest region, covering Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Scott Moore, a senior regional account manager, will represent the Northeast region, covering Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Greg Abbott will represent the Southwest region, covering Arizona, New Mexico, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

Taylor Henwood will represent the South Atlantic region covering Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
