Avalon Waterways is taking its fleet to the next level with a full-fleet refresh designed to enhance the style and comfort of its Suite Ships. The refresh comprises new interiors, upgraded outdoors spaces, and next-level Wi-Fi.

Over the next two years, Avalon will update every ship in its European fleet – apart from Avalon Alegria, Avalon View, and Avalon Envision, which were already built in the enhanced style. Additionally, Avalon Passion, Avalon Imagery II, Avalon Poetry II, Avalon Panorama, and Avalon Vista were already completed in 2024.

In 2025, the refresh will encompass Avalon Artistry II, Avalon Impression, Avalon Illumination, Avalon Tapestry II, and Avalon Tranquility II. The last two European ships in the fleet – Avalon Expression and Avalon Visionary – will be completed in 2026.

Among the highlights of the refresh are:

  • Fresh décor in every public space, from flooring to furniture
  • A second Starlink antenna for faster high-speed Internet
  • A new look – and new furniture – for the Sky Deck
  • Enhanced Observation Lounge
  • Upgraded fitness rooms featuring Kinesis weight machines for resistance training, along with an expanded selection of free weights
  • New bikes, including regular bikes and e-bikes

“At Avalon, we believe the perfectly designed river cruise starts with a perfectly designed ship, inviting guests to explore the world in comfort and style,” said Pam Hoffee, president of Avalon Waterways. “With our fleet-wide refresh, we’re elevating details – from drapes on the widest-opening windows in river cruising and decor of our Panorama Lounges to fit-for-purpose fitness centers and fleet of new bikes – ensuring that our Suite Ships continue to set the standard for effortless, along the world’s waterways.”
