Bookings Now Open for Windstar Cruises’ New Star Explorer

by Marsha Mowers  October 27, 2025
Bookings Now Open for Windstar Cruises’ New Star Explorer

Windstar Cruises is expanding in 2027 with the debut of Star Explorer; the second of two new all-suite yachts being added to its fleet. Bookings are now open for the 224-guest, all-suite yacht that will sail year-round in Europe.

The ship’s first full season runs through March 2028 and clients can save with early booking rates through November 15, 2025 and get an additional 5% off with “Pay Now, Save More” promotion. Star Explorer features a mix of new and signature itineraries Circumnavigating Ireland and Seven Gems of the Baltic.

Offers are combinable and subject to availability.

“Windstar has a long history of exploring in the Mediterranean and Europe, and the small size of this ship opens even more interesting places– including rivers,” says Christopher Prelog, president of Windstar Cruises. “We specialize in creating itineraries that meld the bucket list with the unknown and unexpected that we know our guests will love.”

Her inaugural season kicks off with a London christening on May 31, 2027, followed by a circumnavigation of Ireland filled with castles, cliffs, and cozy pubs. Star Explorer offers an enticing mix of classic and new itineraries designed for travellers seeking immersive, small-ship adventures to both iconic and hard-to-reach ports — including overnight stays and longer visits right in the heart of major cities.

On board, Star Explorer offers 112 spacious suites, including two Horizon Owner’s Suites with expansive wraparound balconies ideal for catching sunrises, and many suites with full verandas or infinity windows. Guests will enjoy Windstar favourites like the Yacht Club Café, the signature Marina with watersport activities.

More detail on the voyages can be found here: Northern Europe Voyages and Mediterranean Voyages.
