Celebrity Cruises is asking past cruisers to help it build the onboard experience for its next new ship, Celebrity Xcel.
The initiative, called “Dream Makers,” is designed to bring new culinary, entertainment, and interior design elements to the cruise ship. Through online polls and experiential in-person events, these key decisions will influence many elements of Celebrity Xcel.
Deam Makers members will get to choose textiles, manage interior design choices, pick dishes and beverages, and provide input on entertainment choices.
“We want to ensure our guests love our products and experiences, so involving them in the process to perfect Celebrity Xcelwas a great way to achieve this,” said Michael Scheiner, chief marketing and product officer for Celebrity Cruises. “Celebrity Cruises is known for ground-breaking innovation in ship design and experiences unlike any other at sea, when Xcellaunches guests won’t have just found their happy place, they’ll have helped us build it.
Past travelers, including travel advisors, can join the Dream Makers community to participate.
Celebrity Xcel will sail from Fort Lauderdale in 2025 with seven-night Caribbean itineraries and Europe in 2026 with seven- to 11-night Mediterranean journeys out of Barcelona and Athens, many including an overnight stay in Madeira, Portugal.
