Celebrity Cruises Reveals Lineup of All-New Entertainment for Celebrity Xcel

When Celebrity Xcel sets sail next month, it will feature an all-new lineup of theater shows, immersive dance parties, interactive activities, and more throughout the day.

“Celebrity Xcel will further elevate Celebrity’s award-winning offering to create a world-class entertainment destination our guests are going to love,” said Lisa Lehr, vice president of entertainment for Celebrity Cruises. “With over 75 resident performers, guests will find unforgettable experiences and unexpected surprises at every turn.”

At the heart of the entertainment lineup are three new custom-developed production shows in The Theatre. Featuring Celebrity’s largest cast, these shows combine singers, dancers, parkour artists, and specialty aerial performers with cutting-edge technology – including kinetic lighting, laser video etching, projection mapping, pyrotechnics, and a 110-foot curved kinetic LED screen – to deliver fully immersive entertainment.

The three new theater shows are:

Mainstage: A high-energy live music concert that takes audiences to the world’s most iconic music festivals, featuring hits from top artists across the decades.

Between Takes: This cinema-focused show transports guests to the glamorous (and chaotic) backlot of 1920s Hollywood as the cast tries to create the next blockbuster.

Chapters: A poetic “journey through nature, transformation, and self-discovery,” with each chapter reflecting “growth, change, and connection.”

In The Club, two new interactive guest shows invite cruisers to lose themselves in the story:

254 West: Set in the 1980s, participants find themselves at the closing night of the iconic “254 West” club. But before the party ends, guests are invited to join in the high-energy celebration, as well as the 254 West afterparty.

HOTEL: In this comedic “whodunit,” audience members find themselves in the midst of a scandal and a crime that needs solving. The interactive show features cabaret flair, sharp wit, and twists and turns at every corner.

Live Music & Dance Parties

The fun onboard Celebrity Xcel doesn’t stop with The Theatre and The Club. Cruises will find live music in the piano bar, during the Saddle Up Saloon country music party, and by candlelight during the candlelit concert experience featuring Classic Rock’s greatest hits.

Family-Friendly Competition

Celebrity Xcel will also feature several new family-friendly games including the high-energy, mass elimination game show High Stakes; the fast-paced strategic thinking game Brain Spin; an escape room-style game that challenges participants to build a robot; a destination-themed mystery game; and a new spin on the retro arcade experience that projects crowd-favorite games onto the floor for interactive gaming that turns cruisers’ bodies into the controller.
