Cunard Unveils Lineup of Entertainment Residencies for 2027

Cunard has unveiled its 2027 entertainment program, including a new lineup of entertainment residencies across its fleet. Developed in partnership with some of the world’s leading cultural organizations, the 2027 lineup brings together award-winning theater, ballet, classical music, and literature.
“Entertainment has always been central to the Cunard experience, and our 2027 program brings together world leading cultural partners in a way that only Cunard can,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard.“From our signature Event Voyages on board the world’s only ocean liner to new residencies across the fleet, we’re giving guests the opportunity to connect with the arts in a way that simply isn’t possible anywhere else.”
Cunard’s 2027 Entertainment Residencies
In 2027, Cunard will introduce a new program of Entertainment Residencies, across Queen Mary 2, Queen Anne, Queen Elizabeth, and Queen Victoria.
These residencies bring award-winning theater companies and acclaimed performers on board selected sailings, presenting musicals, literary adaptations, historical dramas, and intimate one-person shows. Each is complemented by workshops, recitals, and storytelling experiences.
Highlights include “The Truman Capote Talk Show,” an award-winning portrayal of the celebrated writer; “The Essence of Audrey,” a new biopic inspired by the life of Audrey Hepburn, who famously sailed with Cunard; “Frozen Love: A Buckingham Nicks Story,” charting the early relationship of Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, “An Afternoon Stroll with Hilaire Belloc,” and “A Ghost Among the Living.”
Queen Mary 2’s 2027 Event Voyages
Theatre at Sea with the Olivier Awards, returns with a program inspired by the upcoming awards season; 2027 marks Cunard’s second year as Headline Partner of the prestigious ceremony named after the late great actor and director, Laurence Olivier. The Transatlantic Crossing from Oct. 20-27, 2027, will celebrate the very best of theater through exclusive performances, workshops and behind-the-scenes insights.
Dance the Atlantic, in partnership with English National Ballet, will take place from July 16–23, 2027. Guests will enjoy performances by internationally acclaimed dancers, alongside talks and workshops that offer a unique insight into the world of ballet.
Anthony Inglis and the National Symphony Orchestra will return for their 18th year from Oct. 1-8, 2027, giving guests the opportunity to experience exceptional classical performances led by acclaimed conductor Anthony Inglis. Guests can also attend talks and Q&A sessions and take part in the guest choir, rehearsing throughout the voyage ahead of a special performance alongside the orchestra.
Finally, the Literature Festival at Sea, curated by the team behind The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, will bring together leading authors, journalists, and thought leaders for a week of talks, discussions, and literary events celebrating the written word between Dec. 2-9, 2027.
