Cunard’s Queen Victoria to Undergo Dry Dock Refurb Later This Year

Cunard is taking Queen Victoria out of service for about three weeks later this year to dry dock in Rotterdam for an “extensive transformation.”

The refurb, which will take place from Oct. 17 through Nov. 5, will include a revitalization of the ship’s signature spaces. That includes a refreshing of the Grand Lobby, the Queens Room, and the Grill Suites experiences, all of which will get a facelift including new furnishings and sophisticated detailing.

There’s also plans for Cunard to introduce The Pavilion Wellness Café on board, making Queen Victoria the third ship in the fleet to feature the venue following its rollout on Queen Anne and Queen Elizabeth. The café will focus on daytime dining, serving plant-based cuisine alongside sustainably sourced meat, fish, and dairy.

Additionally, the refit will add eight new Britannia staterooms, including three under a new premium category called “Britannia Deluxe Oceanview,” which will feature floor-to-ceiling windows. These new staterooms go on sale starting July 20 for upcoming voyages.

Queen Victoria is scheduled to officially return to service on November 7, 2026, ahead of her 2027 program featuring itineraries through the Mediterranean, the Norwegian Fjords, and the Canary Islands.
