Emerald Adds Mah Jongg Themed Cruises to 2027 Lineup

Scenic Group announced today the addition of two Mah Jongg sailings for Emerald Cruises in August 2027.

Designed to meet the increased demand for meaningful social connections while traveling, the two special sailings will pair Emerald Cruises’ immersive river journeys with onboard Mah Jongg programming. The themed sailings will feature American Mah Jongg, including guided play, hosted sessions, instructional opportunities, and curated social events for players of all skill levels.

The two sailings, called “Danube Delights – Mah Jongg Cruise,” will sail on Aug. 4 and Aug. 11, 2027, aboard Emerald Cruises’ Danube itineraries between Budapest and Munich, with stops in Bratislava, Vienna, Dürnstein, and Passau.

The themed sailings will integrate the special programming into the river cruise’s premium onboard experience. Guests will also enjoy curated shore excursions, regionally inspired cuisine, and the iconic landscapes along the Danube River.
