Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, a Germany-based luxury cruise line, is going fully bilingual after several years of offering bilingual cruises on only two of its ships.
Starting January 2026, all five luxury and expedition ships will operate fully bilingual in German and English. Previously, only Europa 2 and Hanseatic Inspiration offered bilingual sailings.
“Our satisfaction ratings consistently exceed 90%. With this campaign and our bilingual expansion, we are inviting new travelers to experience the unique Hapag-Lloyd Cruises feeling without losing the intimacy and authenticity that define us,” said Clas Eckholt, vice president commercial at TUI Cruises, the parent company of Hapag-Lloyd.
To prepare for the expansion to fully bilingual, the line has launched an all-new brand campaign, “World. Wide. Wonderful,” running from Sept. 16 to Oct. 31, 2025. The campaign highlights the fleet’s signature onboard atmosphere and promotes the upcoming season.
To help North American travel advisors get to know the brand and market it to clients, the cruise line has prepared a comprehensive tool kit including:
- A 36-page brochure and animated flipbook with films and images.
- Social media templates and a 20-second brand video.
- Ready-to-use content via the “Agent Compass” portal.
“This campaign is more than an offer, it’s an invitation to immerse yourself in experiences that move and inspire,” added Ines Bizi, director of marketing.
Hapag-Lloyd’s fleet consists of two luxury ocean-going ships – Europa and Europa 2 – and three expedition ships – Hanseatic Nature, Hanseatic Inspiration, and Hanseatic Spirit.
Early booking discounts are available until Oct. 31, 2025.
