Holland America Denali Lodge to Complete Enhancements Before 2027 Cruisetour Season

Holland America Denali Lodge to Complete Enhancements Before 2027 Cruisetour Season

Holland America Denali Lodge.

Holland America Line is on track to complete a series of major enhancements at its Holland America Denali Lodge property in time for the 2027 Cruisetour season, which is now open for booking.

The $70 million multi-year investment is underway with many upgrades already finished. HAL says the project will expand guest capacity while deepening the immersive connection between Alaska cruising and overland exploration through Denali National Park.

In 2027, Holland America Line will offer a series of 19 Cruisetour options from May to September, ranging from nine to 17 nights. The itineraries combine a three- to seven-night Alaska cruise with an overland journey to Denali National Park and Canada’s Yukon Territory. Every Cruisetour visits the park and includes a one- to three-night stay at Holland America Denali Lodge.

Guests can decide the order of their journey—if they want to cruise or go overland first—and those who want to extend their travels can choose an itinerary that takes them to Canada’s Yukon Territory, including stops in Whitehorse and Dawson City.

Holland America Denali Lodge is expanding.

The $70-Million Investment Enhancements

Guests staying at Holland America Denali Lodge this season will already find renovated accommodations, refreshed public spaces and expanded culinary offerings inspired by Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.

Final enhancements are underway and scheduled for completion ahead of the 2027 season, which will be Holland America’s 80th Anniversary exploring Alaska:

  • Construction of two new guest buildings replacing older structures, equating to new rooms and an increase in Lodge capacity by 72 rooms.
  • A refresh and redesign of the Main Lodge interiors and public spaces.
  • Full renovation of Grizzly Grind, a coffee shop for guests.

Completed Projects at Holland America Denali Lodge

  • An enhanced riverside interpretive trail with new scenic viewpoints.
  • Improved on-site wayfinding throughout the property.
  • Public space renovations and upgrades at both the Cottonwood and Canyon Lodge guest room buildings.
  • The introduction of Outpost Coffee + Provisions, a new coffee and convenience concept for guests on the go.
  • Expanded seating at Karstens Public House.
  • Revamped food and beverage menus across multiple dining venues under the guidance of Culinary Ambassador Ethan Stowell, with a greater emphasis on locally inspired Alaska and Pacific Northwest cuisine featuring regional ingredients and flavors.
