Jean-Philippe Maury Brings Desserts to MSC

French chocolatier and pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury will have a permanent presence on the MSC Meraviglia when it debuts in 2017—and in the meantime, he’ll be offering up dessert creations on all MSC ships.

Maury will head the MSC Meraviglia’s chocolate workshop, which will feature an open kitchen where guests can watch the chocolatiers at work and sample Maury’s specialty pastry and bakery menus. His works will also be featured in an ice cream parlor and creperie in the indoor promenade.

For now, though, Maury will be introducing new dessert offerings at buffets, specialty restaurants, and MSC Yacht Clubs across the MSC fleet, beginning with the MSC Divina “in the near future” and then rolling out across all the ships.

Maury is the former pastry chef of the Bellagio Hotel and Aria Hotel in Las Vegas.
