MSC Cruises is putting its Alaska bound ship, MSC Poesia, into dry dock to prepare it for the line’s first-ever Alaska season. As part of the refurbishment – one of the largest in the line’s history – the ship will receive the MSC Yacht Club, a new specialty dining venue, sports bar, and more.

MSC Yacht Club

The new MSC Yacht Club onboard MSC Poesia will feature 63 suites across five suite types including ocean-view, balcony, and connected options for families.

The Royal Suite accommodates up to six guests and features a private whirlpool, an expansive 840-squre-foot terrace, as well as a private outdoor shower. The Two-Room Grand Suite also has a spacious balcony, though not nearly as big.

All Yacht Club suites come with a Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary minibar, plus 24-hour room service.

Guests in the Yacht Club will also have access to an all-new private sundeck with a grill and bar, plus two whirlpools. The MSC Yacht Club Restaurant will also be new, as will the light-filled Top Sail Lounge and Bar.

New Food & Beverage Options

As part of the revamp, MSC Poesia will be getting the line’s signature Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and its existing Kaito Sushi Bar will be reimagined.

Also new will be the All-Stars Sports Bar, where guests can catch a game with bite-sized snacks, interactive bar games, and more.

Wellness Upgrades

On the spa and fitness side, the ship’s current MSC Aurea Spa is being refreshed. The new space will feature the Ocean View Sauna, two steam rooms, a salt room, and more.  The MSC Gym Powered by Technogym is also getting enhancements.

MSC Poesia will offer seven-night Alaska sailings roundtrip from Seattle from May through September 2026.
