MSC Cruises Switches to Fixed Fee Specialty Dining, Introduces Dining Packages

MSC Cruises is overhauling its specialty dining and switching to fixed fee menus across its dining venues.

Starting immediately, guests can choose from most of the items on the full restaurant menu, for one fixed price. According to MSC Cruises, “This not only provides greater variety, but also greater value and transparency, making specialty restaurants accessible to everyone.”

Under the new pricing structure, guests can choose at least one starter, one main, and one dessert for a fixed fee. Menus will also feature extra-fee dishes, such as Ozaki Wagyu beef.

For cruisers who know they want to dine at more than one specialty restaurant, MSC has also launched new dining packages, which can be purchased for a minimum of one and up to four specialty dining experiences included. The packages are flexible and can be used to repeat favorite restaurants.

Clients who pre-purchase their specialty dining package(s) before their cruise will receive savings of up to 20%.

“Simplified single-price menus mean greater transparency for guests, and customizable packages add flexibility to create a seamless dining experience for our guests,” said Stéphane Franchini, senior director of food and beverage product for MSC Cruises. “With these enhancements, MSC Cruises continues to redefine dining at sea, offering guests an unforgettable gastronomic journey with world-class cuisine and ultimate versatility.”

“With increasing demand from our guests for flexibility, transparency, and personalization, this upgrade further strengthens our culinary product, offering today’s cruisers what they expect and deserve,” added Georg Schmickler, senior vice president of onboard revenues at MSC Cruises.

The new specialty restaurant packages are available to book now. More enhancements aimed at streamlining the specialty dining purchasing and scheduling experience are in the pipeline.
