NCL Removes All COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Requirements

by Dori Saltzman  October 03, 2022
NCL Removes All COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Requirements

Effective October 4, Norwegian Cruise Line will no longer have any COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements, except where mandated by a destination visited (such as in Bermuda and Greece). For the majority of cruises, however, guests will not need to be vaccinated or undergo testing, regardless of vaccination status.

“Health and safety are always our first priority; in fact, we were the health and safety leaders from the very start of the pandemic,” said Harry Sommer, NCL president and CEO. “Many travelers have been patiently waiting to take their long-awaited vacation at sea and we cannot wait to celebrate their return.”

Exceptions
(Cruises that visit Australia, the South Pacific and the Middle East may also have restrictions, check Travel Requirements by Port & Country.)

Bermuda
All guests on NCL cruises to Bermuda will need to complee a Bermuda Travel Authorization within 30 days of sailing and provide proof of either a COVID-19 NAAT test (PCR, LAMP or TMA) taken up to four days (two days for unvaccinated passengers) before embarkation or proof of a supervised antigen test taken up to two days before embarkation. Unvaccinated guests must also provide proof of travel health insurance.

Costa Rica
Unvaccinated guests may not go ashore.

Greece
All guests over the age of 12, regardless of vaccination status, must provide proof of their vaccination along with proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within two days of embarkation (self-administred home tests are not accepted) or a negative PCR test taken with three days of embarkation.

Honduras (Roatan)
Unvaccinated passengers will need to provide proof (at embarkation) of a negative supervised COVID-19 antigen test taken no later than 48 hours before embarkation or a negative PRC test taken no later than 72 hours before embarkation.

South America
South America cruise itineraries that visit Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Uruguay have either vaccination and/or testing requirements for all guests.
