Quark Expeditions Names Scott Sloan as Area Sales Director, West

Quark Expeditions has appointed Scott Sloan as its new area sales director, west.  

Based in Los Angeles, Sloan will be tasked with supporting and expanding Quark Expedition’s travel advisor network across the Western U.S. inclding California, Nevada, Utah, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, and Arizona. He stepped into the role in February 2025.  

“Scott is a strategic appointment who completes our North American sales team. With his extensive experience in expedition cruising and a proven sales track record, Scott has the expertise to support and nurture advisors in his region, driving long-term success in polar travel,” said David Marathakis, director of sales, Americas. 

Sloan is an experienced cruise professional. In the past, he’s held roles with Ponant, Carnival, and American Queen Steamboat Company. Most recently, he served as Regional Sales Director at Atlas Ocean Voyages.. 

“As true leaders in polar expeditions, Quark exceeds guests’ expectations by offering the most landings and immersive activities for on- and off-ship exploration on purpose-built vessels.
