Roundup of Global Travel Advisor Month Appreciation Promotions

Global Travel Advisor Day is May 1, and suppliers from across the travel industry are expressing their gratitude to the trade with various promotions, offers, and rewards — many available all month long. 

ACTA
Starting May 1, ACTA will host online Business Building Workshops on topics such as dealing with anxiety, the art of delegation, and winning over difficult clients. Those interested can register here. Recordings will be available on demand until June 6 for those unable to attend the live dates. The Association is also hosting a health wellness challenge for the month of May. The 10-Day Unleash Your Joy Challenge begins May 6, 2024.  Registration is open until April 30, and the first 100 ACTA members can participate free of cost. Every participant receives $50 in giveaways. Register here. Those who participate in either the workshops or the wellness challenge will be eligible to win prizes, including two Air Canada tickets to Sun and North American destinations, along with 50,000 Aeroplan Points, and one complimentary attendance to the ACTA International Conference in Azores on November 18-25, 2024. 

African Travels, Inc.
African Travels, Inc. is thanking travel advisors with a $50 e-gift card for every new custom safari booking made and deposited between May 1 and May 31, 2024. The incentives will be disbursed in June 2024. Advisors also have the opportunity to participate in ATI’s African Travel Educational Program by joining FAM trips, which are scheduled throughout the year. They can also explore Africa at a time and date of their preference with up to a 30% discount on all 2024 tailor-made itineraries. When they have secured 5+ bookings, advisors can travel with three guests.

AmaWaterways
Throughout the month of May, AmaWaterways is offering a booking incentive, new FAM opportunities, and a chance to win a free cruise. The booking incentive is a $25 gift card per each new reservation made in May for travel in 2024, or a $50 gift card for new bookings departing in July, August, or November 2024. Also unveiled, are new Seminar on the River cruises hosted by business development managers, and members of the leadership team. To win a free cruise, advisors must attend one or more of AmaWaterways’ Webinar Wednesdays. Attendees will be entered into a weekly draw to win a complimentary European river cruise for two. On June 4, advisors who attend all five Webinar Wednesday sessions in May and create a co-branded website with AmaWaterways will be placed in a drawing to win a free cruise for two onboard AmaMagna. Avanti Destinations
This wholesale tour operator, which sells exclusively through advisors, will award agents with a $25 gift card for each land booking of $5,000 or more made between May 1 and May 31, for travel any time before Dec. 31, 2024. In addition, Avanti will double the amount of the gift card for bookings made outside Europe, including the South Pacific, Asia, Central and South America, North Africa, and the Middle East. Advisors will earn a gift card for each land booking over $5,000, and there is no limit to the number of gift cards they can earn.

Celebrity Cruises
Throughout May, Celebrity is offering advisors multiple ways to win prizes including any Celebrity cruise of their choice, including one of the line’s Galapagos sailings onboard Celebrity Flora. Advisors will also earn double Celebrity Rewards points on every booking made in between May 1 and May 10. To enter to win a Galapagos sailing, advisors must book three staterooms in May, with at least one being a Galapagos sailing. To win a Celebrity cruise of their choice (Galapagos excluded), travel advisors need only fill out a survey.

CIE Tours
The tour operator is celebrating Travel Advisor Appreciation Month by offering travel advisors as much as 50% in savings for tours to Ireland and beyond. For the month of May, advisors can save 50% on a guided vacation to Ireland, and 30% for all other CIE Tours destinations. Non-advisor companions sharing a room will save 30%. Departures must be between July 1, 2024 and December  31, 2024. Collette
This May, two advisors – one from the U.S. and one from Canada – will win a $5,000 voucher that can be used towards a Collette tour of their choice. Every new booking made during the month will earn advisors an entry into the drawing. The winners, who will be announced in early June, can combine their $5,000 credit with Collette’s Travel Advisor Program, which offers them a 50% discount, as well as 25% for companions when booking a tour. Additionally, all month long, advisors can offer their clients a $100 tour add-on credit per person.

Cunard
Cunard is offering the Four Queens Bonus Event in celebration of Travel Advisor Day, offering up to $50 in bonus commission per booking, as well as up to $600 in onboard credit to clients. The offer is available only to travel advisors on select 2024 and 2025 voyages across the entire Cunard fleet.  From April 24 through May 14, 2024, new bookings can receive up to $600 onboard credit, a 50% reduced deposit, and up to $50 bonus commission. Featured voyages include World Voyage segments on Queen Anne, 2025 summer Alaska sailings on Queen Elizabeth, Transatlantic crossings on Queen Mary 2, and Western Mediterranean voyages on Queen Victoria.

Delta Vacations 
Delta Vacations is rewarding the top travel advisor booking each day with a spot on a trip to Hawaii, including round-trip airfare. It is also giving four top advisor bookers throughout the month a $500 Delta Air Lines voucher. Delta is also offering some savings for advisors’ clients through the end of the month, including up to $300 off per booking to select destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central and South America. 

Disney Destinations 
Advisors with an agency IATA or CLIA I.D. will be able to access Disney’s Travel Advisor Appreciation Station at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom theme park in Orlando. The station is located at Upcountry Landing near the “Feathered Friends in Flight!” show and will offer advisors some refreshments and shade along with the opportunity to catch up with Disney’s agency sales team. The station is open Monday through Saturday (closed Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through May 30. Disney says more is coming, too, including some marketing material and enhancements to its Travel Advisor Appreciation Program.

HX
In appreciation of everything travel advisors do, HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) has unveiled an all-new B2B Help Desk (6 am to 8 pm PST Mon-Fri), as well as revealed increased commissions, an Antarctica giveaway, and more. From now through Aug. 31, 2024, HX is increasing commissions to 25% on all Antarctica bookings. (Sailings must be scheduled from Oct. 2024 to Dec. 31, 2025.) Throughout May, advisors can enter to win a trip to Antarctica by joining the new HX Travel Partners, Americas Facebook page and registering with HX’s agent portal. (Existing members of both are already eligible.) Additionally, for every Antarctica cabin booked in May, advisors will receive an additional three entries. Finally, travel advisors booking from now through Dec. 31, 2024, for trips in 2024 and 2025, can earn a free voyage for themselves, up to 14 days long, with HX (excluding itineraries with Machu Picchu) by selling five HX cruises. Norwegian Cruise Line
NCL is celebrating Travel Advisor Appreciation Month with a promotion that also puts its debuting-next-year Norwegian Aqua front and center. From now through May 20, advisors can enter to win one of 10 free cruises by publishing a post related to Norwegian Aqua on social media. Entrants must include #Sweepstakes on all social media posts entries and complete the submission form during the promotion period, which includes providing proof of the post. Regent Seven Seas Cruises
The luxury cruise line is honoring travel advisors this month with a range of new offers and incentives. Travel advisors in the U.S. and Canada can earn a $100 gift card incentive on select European 2024 sailings for bookings made between May 1 and May 31, 2024, and a $400 Double Bonus Commission by completing a new graduate-level degree of the cruise line’s training program, the RSSC University. Regent is also offering the selling tool of a $500 Shipboard Credit per suite; to qualify, advisors must watch the dedicated Immersive Overnights webinar. And with the Sell & Sail program, any advisors who make three new bookings for Regent’s Immersive Overnights collection can earn a free cruise (with one guest) on any of the same itineraries.

Rental Escapes
Throughout the month of May – Travel Advisor Appreciation Month – Rental Escapes is introducing a bonus commission of up to $5,000. The bonus commission offer applies to bookings made from May 1-31, 2024, for stays between May 8, 2024 and December 31, 2025.

Riviera River Cruises 
Riviera River Cruises offers advisors a complimentary cabin on a 2024 European river cruise when they book any three cabins aboard departures of eight days or more in 2024 at retail and a 5% bonus commission for every cabin booked on 2024 departures. Riviera will also hold two webinars on Thursday, May 2, and Wednesday, May 15 and advisors who attend will be entered into drawings for a $500 gift card.

Sandals Resorts International
This month, Sandals is offering extra booking incentives of up to $200 for advisors who book six nights or more at any Sandals or Beaches resort directly through Unique Vacations, Inc. for travel through December 26th, 2024. 

Scenic Luxury Cruises/Emerald Cruises
Throughout the month of May, travel advisors can earn bonus commissions and win a free cruise, gift cards, and more. For all newly deposited bookings this May, advisors will earn an additional $100 commission per cabin for river cruises and Emerald Yacht cruises, and an additional $250 commission per cabin for Scenic Eclipse Yacht cruises. Additionally, each new booking will earn advisors an entry into the “Win a Free Cruise” contest, with an eight-day river cruise on either brand up for grabs. New bookings also enter advisors into a gift card giveaway (up to $1,000), as well as the chance to win a free stateroom on Scenic’s Partner Immersion (FAM) sailings in November 2024 and Spring 2025.

Sunwing  Vacations
For the remainder of the month, advisors who book Sunwing Vacations for travel through April 30, 2025 will be automatically entered to win an all-inclusive stay at Riu Jalisco in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, Riu Bambu in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, or Riu Dunamar in Cancun, Mexico. Additionally, the tour operator is offering reduced rates on DIY FAMS until October 2024, as well as the opportunity to win one of three seven-night vacation packages for two (flights and transfers included). 

TravelBrands
Until May 31, travel advisors can earn 15% commission on all car rentals for bookings through July 31, 2024. The offer applies to Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Europcar, Fox, Hertz, National, and Thrifty car rentals. TravelBrands is also offering a 3% bonus commission on the all-new TravelGenie packages, hotel-only, and add-ons for travel through September 30, 2024. 

True Ranch Collection
True Ranch Collection, which includes six historic dude ranches in Wyoming, Montana, and Arizona, is doubling commissions for travel advisors who book before June 15, 2024. Travel advisors can earn 20% commission on new confirmed reservations. Villas of Distinction
Travel advisors who book with Villas of Distinction through June 1, 2024 for travel between now and Dec. 31, 2025 will earn bonus commission of up to $5,000 payable upon deposit. 

Windstar Cruises
During the month of May, travel advisors can earn a $100 commission bonus for each cabin booked for a new-to-Windstar guest. Additionally, travel advisors who make any new booking or complete Windstar’s online training program in May will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of four free cruises for themselves and a guest. Advisors can boost their chances with each new booking: 2024 new bookings made during the month of May are worth five entries, while new 2025 and beyond bookings earn two entries. Advisors who complete Windstar’s Star Specialist program in May also earn five entries.
