The One-Hour Multi-Course Dinner: Carnival Cruise Line Rolls Out Express Dining

The One-Hour Multi-Course Dinner: Carnival Cruise Line Rolls Out Express Dining

Carnival’s Express Dining lets guests eat quickly before enjoying shipboard entertainment.

Some cruise passengers like to linger over an evening meal. Others like to get fed quickly and head out to enjoy shipboard entertainment. Carnival Cruise Line has a new enhancement for guests in a hurry with Express Dining, where groups of six guests or fewer can enjoy a freshly prepared multi-course dinner experience in under an hour.

The program is now available on 15 ships and will be fully implemented across the fleet by the end of May.

“Our guests continue to tell us they value greater flexibility in how they spend their time on board, and Express Dining was designed with that in mind,” said CCL president Christine Duffy.

“Our pilot program generated positive feedback from our guests. With this in mind, we are excited to expand Express Dining to offer them the same high quality dishes and attentive service our dining rooms are known for, while giving guests the ability to use more of their time to enjoy all the other onboard fun.”

Signature dishes like grilled lamb chops remain on the Express Dining menu.

Express Dining complements Carnival’s traditional dining experience, giving guests the choice of a leisurely evening meal or a streamlined service that significantly reduces service time while maintaining a thoughtfully curated menu, with a slightly abbreviated selection. Special dietary requests continue to be accommodated.

The offering is currently available on Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Celebration, Mardi Gras, Carnival Venezia, Carnival Firenze, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Vista, Carnival Breeze, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Glory and Carnival Freedom.

Guests booked under Your Time Dining can opt in directly through Carnival’s HUB App.

The rollout builds on Carnival’s broader focus on offering dining flexibility across the fleet. The recently introduced Family Express service on the Lido Deck, also piloted on Carnival Vista and now available fleetwide, has quickly become a guest favourite, further reinforcing the cruise line’s commitment to enhancing its food and beverage offerings with more guest options.
