The Jamaica Tourist Board has announced the appointment of three new business development officers to drive U.S. growth in key regions.

The Jamaica Tourist Board, or JTB, is responsible for destination awareness and general marketing for Jamaica, which saw record-breaking arrivals in 2023 and 2024.

The JTB has named Ricardo Henry, Ray Lee, and O’Neil Walters as the new U.S. business development officers, who will cover the Northeast, Western and Midwestern regions, respectively.

“We’re excited to welcome three impressive new talents to our team here in the U.S., a robust tourism market for Jamaica,” said Philip Rose, deputy director of tourism, Jamaica. “Ricardo, Ray, and O’Neil each possess an invigorating enthusiasm for the destination and an inspiring dedication to their work. We’re certain their contributions will drive impressive growth across three important regions in the U.S. and look forward to seeing the results.”

Henry, who is based in Baltimore, Maryland, will represent the JTB in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC. He previously served as a promotions and events officer at the JTB headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica.

Dallas, Texas-based Lee will cover the Western U.S. region, with his territory extending across New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Oklahoma. He joins from Sandals Resorts where he served as a BDM since 2012.

Finally, Walters, based in Cleveland, Ohio, will oversee the Midwest, spanning Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. In addition to being the chairman of the board for brand identity business PPIVOTT, Walters previously held a senior director global marketing role at the Dale Caldwell Foundation.
