Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways is adding eight new routes to its network.
Starting in February, the carrier is adding eight new routes from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), all of which offer fares as low as $39.
The additions from Islip include four weekly roundtrips flights between Islip and Norfolk, along with twice-weekly service between Islip and Charleston, S.C., on Fridays and Mondays.
From Palm Beach, Breeze will kick-off Saturday-only roundtrip flights to six cities starting on Feb. 19—Akron, Charleston, Columbus, New Orleans, Norfolk, and Richmond.
The airline, which was founded by JetBlue co-founder David Neeleman and launched earlier this year, now offers service to 18 destinations among 42 different routes.
“Breeze’s business model is to add ‘nice, new nonstop’ flights on routes where only connecting service is offered by other carriers,” said David Neeleman, Breeze’s Chairman, and CEO. “We’re excited to introduce Breeze service to South Florida and the New York area, and look forward to adding more routes from both Palm Beach and Islip.”
The airline offers low-cost flights without any change or cancellation fees. It most recently announced plans to add 80 A220-300 aircraft to its fleet, the first of which will enter service in 2022.
