After reopening its other New York City location overlooking Madison Park on May 11, Marriott’s EDITION brand announced that its other Big Apple location in Times Square will reopen to guests on June 1.

EDITION’s announcement included confirmation that all of the Times Square property’s outdoor spaces will reopen, including The Terrace and Garden restaurants, an original take on traditional French brasseries, and American chophouses as an “everyday” dining option.

The hotel offers 452 guest rooms, 26 suites with outdoor terraces, and one penthouse. The penthouse includes a kitchenette, oak-paneled library, dining area, and living room with a terrace facing Times Square.

The New York EDITION near Madison Park’s reopening, which officially happened on May 11, includes 271 guest rooms including three penthouse suites, three one-bedroom suites with views ranging from Madison Park to the Empire State Building.

The property is right next door to 5th Avenue, the city’s iconic shopping district.

According to EDITION, “the re-opening of the property reflects the revitalization of New York City, welcoming guests and New Yorkers alike.”

Aside from these two re-openings, and others recently announced including Dream Midtown and Dream Downtown, the city also has a total of 116 new hotels in the pipeline.

That includes 52 new ones in Manhattan, 21 in Brooklyn, and 37 in Queens. That pipeline includes The Rockaway Hotel in NYC’s surfing community the Rockaways in Queens; Aman New York debuting on Fifth Avenue with 83 rooms and 22 private residences; and the new Margaritaville coming to Times Square this June.
