Sunwing Vacations Celebrates Reopening of Two Newly Renovated RIU Hotels

The long-time exclusive Canadian tour operator for RIU Hotels & Resorts wants Canadian travellers to know that the RIU Palace Peninsula in Cancun, Mexico, and RIU Palace Aruba in Palm Beach, Aruba, have welcomed guests back with refreshed accommodations, new dining concepts and enhanced amenities.

At RIU Palace Peninsula, guests can now experience new Elite Club by RIU rooms and services, offering an elevated stay with extra benefits. The resort has also expanded its family-friendly amenities with a new children’s pool, while its refreshed culinary offering includes a new Asian restaurant, a Sports Bar serving à la carte American favourites, the new Tiki Taco taquería and an ice cream station.

As part of the renovation, the resort’s former adults-only area is now exclusively available to Elite Club guests. Two new relaxation pools have also replaced the former jacuzzi. The Kulinarium gourmet restaurant, RIU Art and billiards are no longer available at the property.

In Aruba, RIU Palace Aruba has also introduced Elite Club by RIU, including new Junior Suites and Suites, as well as new swim-up Junior Suites and swim-up Suites for Elite Club guests. The enhanced experience includes an exclusive Elite Club restaurant and beach bar with a private sun terrace area.

The resort’s culinary offering has also been refreshed with a new steakhouse, the American Country Sports Bar and restaurant, Pepe’s Food grill and Tiki Taco taco station. Guests can also enjoy a mixologist serving a daily signature drink.

Families visiting RIU Palace Aruba can take advantage of a new RIULand kids’ club and children’s pool with slides. As part of the resort’s updates, conference facilities and rooms featuring balcony jacuzzis are no longer available. Renova Spa services are now offered at the neighbouring RIU Palace Antillas.

With both properties now reopened, Canadians can experience RIU Hotels & Resorts’ refreshed all-inclusive offering in two of Mexico and the Caribbean’s most popular sun destinations.
