Travelport Enhances Latest Smartpoint Version

The latest version of Travelport’s Smartpoint point-of-sale product application allows travel agents to access an airline’s branded fares and ancillary products at the availability, fare quote and fare shop stages of the booking process. By gaining access to products and options at more of the key points in the process, agents can provide travelers with a more complete picture of available products and services and the cost of upgrading their trips. The new version also reduces the number of clicks required to access important information.

In addition, agents can use debit cards to pay for flights on low-cost carriers within the same booking workflow. Smartpoint 6.0 is available either as a download to the desktop application or as an automated upgrade for those using the web browser version.
