Affinia Hotels Introduces Pop-Up Meetings for Last-Minute Planners

May 27, 2010

Affinia Hotels, with five locations in New York, says that today’s new breed of entrepreneurs and small business owners are looking for more flexible meeting space and quick turnaround. The group is addressing this trend with the introduction of Pop-Up Meetings with a guarantee: book a meeting for that same day and Affinia Hotels will provide a meeting set-up within an hour, or it’s free.

The Pop-Up meeting guarantee is valid for a minimum group of three people to maximum of 20. To launch the program, a special full-day meeting package is being offered. This includes a continental breakfast, coffee break, lunch and a special Pop-up Meeting break of popcorn and soda pop, priced from $135 per person, available through August 31. Each Affinia hotel offers unique and customizable options in varying degrees of meeting space venues, from 1,100 square feet at the Affinia Dumont to 9,000 square feet at the Affinia Manhattan.

Meeting planners can also take advantage of Affinia’s Meetings By Design, four uniquely-tailored packages ranging from hi-tech to no tech, with such idea-inspiring components as play-dough, sketch pads, wasabi peas and — for those attendees dead-locked by a decision — a classic Magic 8 Ball. Meeting planners can also direct attendees to www.myaffinia.com, where overnight guests can build a My Affinia profile to customize their stay with choices from an array of amenities and services. From personal toiletries and iGo cell phone and laptop chargers to guitars, golf putters, yoga mats and more, guests will find their selections in-room on every visit. Once a reservation is made, guests can further customize their stay through the My Affinia Concierge, which provides an additional selection of enhancements for a particular stay, including in-room spa treatments, dinner reservations and private transportation.
