San Diego Marriott Marquis Upgrades its Meeting Space
Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina is adding the largest ballrooms on the West Coast.
A $107 million renovation will increase the hotel’s meeting and event space to 280,000 square feet and include two 36,000 square-foot ballrooms, the Marriott Grand Ballroom and the Pacific Ballroom. Each ballroom will be able to host up to 3,700 guests, and feature a 25,000-square-foot foyer, a 16-screen video wall system, and Swarovski crystals in the ceiling.
Outside, there will be an additional 27,000 square-feet of paved event space that can accommodate up to 4,000 guests.
The guestrooms and public areas of the hotel were renovated is 2011.
