Marriott International has signed an agreement with Townhouse Hotels to manage eight properties in the Netherlands across five cities.

Six Townhouse Hotels will join the Series by Marriott brand, while two others will join Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. The hotels are in the Dutch cities of Amsterdam, Breda, and The Hague, where Marriott already has properties, as well as Maastricht and Eindhoven, where Marriott is now making its debut.

“This agreement represents a significant milestone for Marriott International in the Netherlands, bringing eight distinctive hotels into our portfolio and introducing Series by Marriott to the Dutch market,” said Jerome Briet, chief development officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International.

“These projects offer a mix of independent hospitality experiences across sought-after destinations, while also enabling our entry into Maastricht and Eindhoven. Together with Townhouse Hotels, we look forward to providing guests with even more compelling travel experiences across the Netherlands.”

Rick de Jonge, CEO Townhouse Hotels, added that he is “very proud” that the properties will now be part of Marriott.

“This is a defining moment for our company and a clear recognition of what our teams have built,” he said. “Joining Marriott’s global platform opens the door to new guests, new markets and new opportunities, and marks the start of an ambitious next chapter.”
