Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, Curio Collection by Hilton, has just opened, marking the hotel brand’s debut in Hawaii.
The 210-room lifestyle resort overlooks the Nāwiliwili Bay and neighboring Kalapakī Beach, and is part of the Hōkūala resort community. Meaning “House of the Rising Star,” Hale Hōkūala will provide cultural experiences as part of a guest’s stay.
“Curio Collection by Hilton is defined by hotels that immerse guests in one-of-a-kind moments and reflect the spirit of the destinations they call home,” said Brooke Thomas, brand leader, Curio Collection by Hilton. “Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi brings that promise to life, pairing contemporary island design, a distinctive culinary point of view and curated programming that celebrates local people and traditions. As Curio Collection’s first resort in Hawaiʻi, the property is a powerful example of the bespoke stories and memorable stays our guests seek around the world.”
The new hotel’s guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and private lānais. There are also 23 suites and plenty of open spaces throughout the property, offering clear views of the Pacific Ocean, Hāʻupu Mountain, and the Ocean Course at Hōkūala.
Hale Hōkūala’s signature cultural immersion program, E Ala Ka Pilina, will partner with local experts and organizations for both on-property and off-property activities. The inaugural partner will be The Kauaʻi Museum, which will host a storytelling program.
Dining options include a signature restaurant serving Portuguese-Hawaiian cuisine and a casual poolside eatery. On-site, there is a pool and fitness center. Guests also have access to a full-service spa, wellness programming, tennis and pickleball courts within the larger resort community.
