AmaWaterways has announced the appointment of two new senior vice presidents to support the company’s global expansion.
The river cruise line named Angel Christopher Gomez the new senior vice president, global consumer sales and service. Gomez joins from Celebrity Cruises, where he most recently served as associate vice president, consumer sales, onboard cruise sales, and brand events. He has more than two decades of leadership experience in the travel and hospitality industry.
“From the start, it was clear to me that AmaWaterways is a company with purpose, heart, and a deep commitment to its guests and travel partners,” said Gomez.
AmaWaterways also named Sezin Aksoy as senior vice president, revenue management, insights and analytics. Aksoy has held senior leadership positions in various industries for over 20 years, focusing on driving strategy, revenue optimization, and analytics. In her most recent position, Aksoy served as senior vice president, global data strategy & analytics for AXS, a global ticketing platform and AEG division.
With strong track records and extensive experience, both new SVPs will help guide the luxury cruise line’s next phase of growth.
“With the momentum we’re experiencing globally, it’s more important than ever that we continue to strengthen our leadership team with individuals who bring both deep expertise and alignment with our culture,” said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways. “Angel and Sezin are passionate, purpose-driven leaders whose talents will help us elevate the guest experience and make more data-informed decisions that support our long-term vision.”
