ARC to Agents: Update Browsers, Operating Systems

ARC reminded travel agents that effective Aug. 1, access to all ARC tools, such as My ARC, IAR, Agency Memo Manager and DRS, will be limited to users of ARC-approved web browsers and operating systems. ARC said not all web browsers and operating systems offer the same level of security against cybercriminals. Ensuring that agents’ web browsers, operating systems and tools are up to date will help protect both ARC and agency systems.

It urged agents to update their browsers and operating systems as soon as possible. Approved PC and Mac operating systems include Windows Vista SP2 or higher (Windows 7, 8 and 8.1) and OSX 10.8 or higher. Approved web browsers are Internet Explorer Version 9 or higher; Safari Version 6 or higher; Google Chrome Version 40 or higher; Firefox Version 34 or higher, and Opera Version 27 or higher.

ARC-approved mobile platforms have operating systems with native (built-in) web browsers: Android 5.0 or higher with native browser and iOS 8.1 or higher with native browser.
