Travel technology company BranchUp this week announced that Anne Marie Moebes, a 40-year travel industry veteran and former TMR publisher, has joined the company as its new CMO.

In her new role, Moebes will head up BranchUp’s marketing and educational strategy.

“We are extremely pleased and excited to have Anne Marie join our talented team at BranchUp,” said Michael Drever, BranchUp CEO. “She has spent her career working with– and advocating for– travel advisors and her experience, entrepreneurial skills, and mindset make her a perfect addition to the BranchUp team. She will play a key role in the next phase of our growth and development.”

Aside from her time at TMR, Moebes’ career includes time as the CMO at TRAVELSAVERS, the founder and co-owner of Curves Travel, and the director of travel agency marketing at Alama Rent a Car.

In a statement, she said she was “extremely excited” to work with the entire BranchUp team.

“I am extremely excited to be working with successful entrepreneurs Mike Drever and Peter Steele—as well as the entire BranchUp team,” said Moebes. “They clearly understand the role of the advisor and the need to keep selling while others do their marketing. They have built an extraordinary social media platform for travel advisors that is efficient, consistent, and FREE.”

BranchUp is primarily a free social marketing and lead generation tool that provides automated, daily customizable posts. According to the company, it currently provides travel posts to over 35,000 travel advisor subscribers in North America –representing over 7.5 million consumer followers.
