Tour veteran Brian Stack, managing director and CEO of CIE Tours International, one of the preeminent Irish tour operations in the United States, is set to retire after 26 years with the company.
Stack has long been identified for his work in promoting Ireland as head of CIE, considered the largest tour operator to Ireland. He also served as chairman of the U.S. Tour Operators Association and president of Ireland-U.S. Council for Commerce and Industry, among other voluntary posts.
Elizabeth Crabill, who was named CEO of CIE last month, will replace Stack. She previously served as president of Travel Bound and GTA North America for three years, vice president of sales and marketing at Lindblad expeditions for five years, and senior director of marketing for Travel Impressions for three years.
