Exoticca has promoted Diana Winters to vice president of sales as the tour operator preps to expand its Ontario sales team.

The Barcelona-based tour operator plans to add two new sales directors (BDMs) for Ontario, according to PAX. These new positions will report to Winters in her newly expanded role with Exoticca. Winters stepped into the role officially on July 1.

“This move is huge,” Winters told PAX. “Our commitment to the advisor community is steadfast, and because of that, they are directly responsible for where we are today and where we are heading.”

Winters joined Exoticca as director of sales in May 2023, following a ten-year stint as BDM for Palace Resorts. A well-respected industry veteran, she boasts over nearly 30 years in the business.

“I am thrilled for this opportunity,” said Winters. “I’m quite excited about bringing more of my passion to the forefront and sharing that with a team.”

Winters will work closely with Exoticca’s managing director for Canada, Mike Quinto.

“We’ve had record growth, month over month and year over year, and the demand does not seem to be slowing down,” Quinto told PAX. “Because of this, we are needing to add more support on the ground in Canada, ASAP.”

The small group tour operator launched in European markets in 2013, arriving in Canada in 2019. Exoticca’s chief growth officer Alberto Constans told PAX the company has doubled in size in Canada over the last year—and that growth is expected to continue.

“Canada plays a critical role not only because it is already our second-largest source market, but because it offers us a unique platform to grow with strong network partners and top-quality independent travel advisors,” he said.
