Orbitz Launches Loyalty Plan With Instant Rewards

Orbitz.com unveiled Orbitz Rewards, a loyalty program that allows members to use their points, called Orbucks, immediately. If a member books an airline ticket, the Orbucks earned can be applied to other components of the same trip. The points also can be saved for a future trip. Members earn 5% of the price of hotel transactions booked on an Orbitz mobile app and 3% for hotels booked on Orbitz.com. They earn 1% for flights and vacation packages. Members can earn Orbucks on up to $5,000 in airfare ($50 in Orbucks) per year. There are no restrictions on combining rewards with other offers.
